Old City of London Free Tour
Tour Details
We'll meet at the time indicated, not far from the River Thames in the City of London. The Old City has been home to some of the most significant events in British history - from the Plague and the Great Fire of London to the Blitz in World War II.
The tour will begin by walking to St. Paul's Cathedral. You'll travel back in time as the expert guide breathes life into the weird and wonderful of the city's almost two thousand years of fascinating history. You'll explore the maze of narrow alleyways, church courtyards, and river walkways that make up the city's historic center, encountering a new and different slice of the past with every corner turned.
After admiring the Cathedral, we'll head over to the Bank of England, then Mansion House, the Royal Exchange, and Sky Garden. Of course, we'll walk along the river Thames and learn about the history of the Great Fire of London at the monument to this catastrophic event. We'll also pass by Leadenhall Market, a bustling and classy market that boasts a charming collection of boutiques and shops.
Finally, after passing by Tower Bridge and the Tower of London, our tour will come to an end after a total of 2-2.5 hours.
